 The Friends of the Juvenile Court is a non-profit organization represented by citizens and court-involved professionals. The purposes of the organization are threefold:
- To educate and gather support from the community for programs and services directed toward the well-being of youth and families who come under the jurisdiction of the Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.
- To provide a broad-based community voice regarding issues of concern to the Friends Program.
- To raise and expend funds to facilitate the purposes of the Friends Program.
The organization sponsors an annual charity golf tournament and other fund-raising activities to provide scholarship opportunities and assistance to youth and their families for hardship needs, , and areas of need not normally available through County services or other private establishments. |
